38 S & W Special CTG identity. I have recently received a 38 special revolver which was an older relative of mines gun and he passed away and left it to me. I am trying to get any information I can on it. It has model 36-1 just in front of the cylinder and a number 28277 with a D10 under it. The serial number on the butt of the frame is J8000xx.
