Bullseye pistol box

On some cases there is not enough flat area to mount the magnet and have enough clearance to use properly. I solved both of those tiny annoyances by mounting the magnet to a strip of 1/2" plywood them mounting the wood to the lid. This gives you clearance above and below and magazines will stay in place.
