This is a short analysis for the 3rd gen.SAA on the mfg and quality aspect showing it's good and not so good processes. The 3 revolvers under observation are new one built in 2014 and two in 2021, they are all the same quality. 1. The hot blue finish is exceptionally fine in depth, luster and color. 2.Long story short-My wife gave me a 3rd gen (1992) SAA for Christmas this year. The gun is in overall good condition with some cosmetic blemishes. The main issue is that the eagle grips on the gun are not original to it. The grips are colt but the grip to frame fit is bad. Inquiring to see what my options are for getting the grips fitted correctly.
