Just recently got more into the home theater hobby with the purchase of a Visio p75-f1. I’m currently still using a Samsung 5.1 system that came with a 3D Blu-ray player. I’m looking at upgrading the audio system to a true receiver and speaker system and was hoping for some feedback.

Grab a REFURB Denon s760h for $450. Buy this Jamo 5.0 kit for $400. Maybe an SVS SB1000 For $550. You're $200 over budget already but at least it's all decent gear.
