This site is about 3 miles in when traveling on I-40 out of North Carolina and into Tennessee. Like many of roadside stops it is designed to be able to pull directly off the road and into the parking lot. There is one main building painted grey up a hill from the parking lot., Very clean rest area on I-40 between Asheville and Knoxville. Easy to get in and out. It is apparently patrolled by police as there is a dedicated parking space for state troopers. It would be nice if it was a bit better lit but otherwise was as secure as any rest area I've seen. There are pet walking areas, vending machines and picnic tables.
