I changed the fuel line, fuel tube, filter and the fuel pump. I checked the vent in the gas cap cause I thought it might be a vapor lock problem.

Could also be a fuel vapor lock problem, at which time you should be able to take a small drop or two of gas down thwe carb and get it to fire. if it does, you know it's vapor lock., Vapor lock on hot days seems to be a chronic problem on the 2000-series mowers with the Kohler engine. I rerouted the fuel line outside the engine shroud and run it without the side covers, but it still vapor locks on hot days.
