EDIT: Reread, you said spark plug wires therefore no VVTi on the waste-spark system. Do a quick snap throttle while monitoring A/F should drop to 2.5v go up to 4v and back to 3.3. P0171 equal high positive fuel trims. If high at idle and improves ( toward zero) as engine load increases then suspect vacuum leak. Note: add ST plus LT fuel trims.
