Your thread title implied you would like to attach a scope to your G3 derivate without using a picantinny rail system. PRs are specified according to a NATO standard ( STANAG ), a so-called military specification ( milspec ).

I don't see how the rail would fit with it in place. A competent TIG welder could put on in place if a part can be sourced. Removing the rail would take someone with the skills of a jeweler to cut off the welds without cutting into the receiver.
